"House of writing" project

 

This installation invites the public to invent family stories.
The installation is very simple: it's a kind of very colorful hut

equipped with a small wooden roof that houses a picture game table!

On this table are arranged wheels on which images are printed.
These accessible spinners are categorized by theme and feature 4 images that illustrate that theme:

The story box is a game for families, children, the public who are in the street! Everyone 

has the opportunity to play to compose a story with the elements that are present 

on the game table!

It is very simple :
Players (solo, group or family) roll a themed wheel which will reveal a particular image. 

This manipulation must be done on all wheels in order to obtain a unique combination of images. 

These images will be the basis of the story. They will be used to make
imagine the scenario!

The roulette will stop in front of the pointer (mark painted on the table) with a

particular image.
This phase of the game must be carried out on all the theme wheels in 

order to build a series of images as below for example:

Once the image wheels have turned, images have stopped 

in front of the pointer, letting the following combination appear:

 We have images (randomly drawn) of a place (the bridge), a magical character (the fairy), 

a character (the little girl), a place (the house) and an object (the feather).
With these elements, the goal of the game is to write a story 

(tale, short story or why not the beginning of a novel?)

For example, we can start the story in a very traditional way: 

"Once upon a time, there was a little girl who lived by a bridge. 

One day she saw a feather in the water of the river. She decided to fetch 

this beautiful feather, she approached the water...."

It's up to you to continue the story with the remaining images.

The number of image combinations is very important. This leads to a 

considerable number of stories to invent!
